Structurally, the sources are sealed stainless steel capsules with an active part placed inside. The active part contains a radionuclide hermetically fixed between two polyimide films with a thickness of 50 μm. The active part is placed in a recess of the lid and is closed by an inner lid, which is a stainless steel disc 0.1 mm thick. The inner lid is laser welded to the lid. The cover is welded to the source body. In this way, a double containment of the source is achieved.
