Annual chess tournament

On September 30, 2026, the Annual chess tournament devoted to Nuclear Industry Workers' Day was held at the premises of RITVERC. There were three teams who participated in the event: two of them represented the host organization and one comprised the employees of the V.G. Khlopin Radium Institute. Additionally, an employee of ReSource LLC participated in the tournament as an individual player.

The tournament was conducted according to the Swiss system over nine rounds.

As a result of a hard-fought competition, the team from the V.G. Khlopin Radium Institute secured first place in the team standings. In the individual competition, representatives from the V.G. Khlopin Radium Institute also took the top three spots out of 17 participants.

We extend our gratitude to our colleagues from the V.G. Khlopin Radium Institute and ReSource LLC for accepting the invitation to visit RITVERC premises and for their enthusiasm and excellent self-organization. We also thank the First-Category Arbiter A.A. Nikolaeva for her fair and impartial officiating.

The chess tournament devoted to Nuclear Industry Workers' Day is planned to be held annually. We sincerely hope that other enterprises in the sector, as well as related organizations, will participate in future events.
